Local artist, Della Simmons, has painted a few of our sweet homestead animals so they can be enjoyed by everyone!
Highland Cows: Amber and Lucy (30x20") - Was $95, NOW $80
These precious girls came together by a strange twist of fate after both having suffered great loss. Amber was a grieving mother and Lucy was an orphaned calf and now they are mother and daughter and living happily at Higher Ground. Kunekune Pig: Big Shirly - (12x12") - Was $50, NOW $35
Shirly is the matriarch of our piggy family at age 9 and prefers to take it easy, just munching clover, vetch and yellow dock. She has mothered many piglets, both her own as well as for her other piggy mama friends. Kunekune pigs are excellent mothers and they don't mind milk sharing and co-parenting as a group.
Kunekune Piglet: Kiki - (8x10") - $45, NOW $30
Kiki is actually Shirly's granddaughter and as a piglet she loved scuffling with her siblings and being first to the milk bar to get the best teat in the house!
Guernsey Goat: Peaches - (11x14") - $50, NOW $35
Peaches started it all with our Guernsey breed conservation program, as he was the first full Guernsey to grace the farm. He has left his mark on our breeding program and is the proud sire of many daughters, granddaughters and even great-granddaughters. He lives his life as a majestically horned grandpa goat foraging and still trying to impress the ladies (to no avail, to his dismay).
All prints are on Archival Matte Paper and have a 1/2" border for framing.
All sales go toward our efforts in rare breed conservation of Guernsey goats, Kunekune pigs and Highland cattle.
