Fresh Start Sourdough Starter: Started anew after the Feast of Unleavened Bread every Spring. We use Organic flour, water and wild yeast from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Includes instructions for maintaining your starter and a rustic artisan bread recipe.
Contains 4oz of a live, active culture.
Kefir Grains: Used to ferment milk, allowing you to making a probiotic beverage that may be enjoyed plain, after a second ferment with fruit added for flavor, or added to smoothies, baked goods, etc. They are actually not grains at all, but do resemble grains of rice, which is why they are called grains.
Contains 1tsp of live (dormant) grains, instructions for awakening and maintaining your live grains and a recipe for strawberry milk kefir.
Kombucha SCOBY: Enjoy making your own Kombucha at home!
Contains 1 healthy SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria & yeast) and suggestions for brewing.
