Update on Mahina’s Battle Against Brain Cancer

I can’t express how amazed I am at Mahina’s strength in dealing with everything that has come her way. Being non-verbal, she can’t express herself like most, but when circumstances would’ve made me frustrated and angry, Mahina has hung in there and every day she opens her eyes is a new day to her, with a fresh start. Her patience with people and processes exceeds anything I could imagine. There is no doubt she is a special, precious soul.
This update is a bit of a recap of her journey and a cry for help, as Mahina and her family greatly need our prayers and support. If you pray to the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we need you to pray with us. There are no “well wishes, love, light, good vibes” that will help. We need a miracle from the Father, Yahuah almighty! He is good, He is faithful, He is Rapha - The Lord that heals! Pray with us for Mahina’s healing, against all odds, against all spoken predictions, diagnoses, prognoses, etc.

Mahina has had numerous brain surgeries (so many that they say they cannot possibly open her up again at this point) and has undergone several intense treatments. She finally got to return home to Alabama after going through so much and she seemed like herself for a little while, but that was short-lived, as she was recently taken by an emergency flight back to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio after a scan showed that the tumor had returned with edema and a brain bleed.
Mahina, her parents, and her siblings continue to fight back and trudge through this unimaginably trying time. The decisions her parents have had to make are beyond difficult. I would not want to be in their situation, ever. Their lives in Alabama have been turned upside down as well - being in the middle of building a home and farm, then having to rehome farm animals due to being out of state, then having had break-ins and theft while they were away, being unable to work, and now having to leave their home again. As if the stress of illness isn’t enough! But through it all they’ve never complained or whined or lost faith. I would have, multiple times!
I want to help but I feel like my hands are tied. I think all friends and family feel this way! The truth is, the best way we can help is through prayer, but also by filling in the gaps while Mahina’s parents focus solely on her and keeping it all together. No matter our struggles, this world keeps on going and the bills keep coming. Please consider helping Mahina and her family by filling in the gaps financially. To avoid extra fees associated with most sites such as GoFundMe, Mahina’s dad, Ben, has set up a direct Venmo link for those who would like to contribute. A MESSAGE FROM THE FAMILY:
“In the gospels a father with a sick son cries out, ‘Adonai, I believe, but help thou my unbelief’ - I think that's where we stand as a family, that facing so many incredibly large giants and impossibilities has been wearing away at us. We are still clinging to His promises and His Word over all else, however we still war daily with our carnality. So having the body of Messiah lift up petitions for us and about us is truly one of the most important ways believers can contribute. It takes all of us in times like these to remain steadfast. Everybody's support and prayers have been extremely effectual thus far. We encourage everybody to continually pray without ceasing in expectation that even if it be the very last minute ABBA can bring forth miraculous breakthrough and healing.” ~ Daddy, Ben
Please pray with us! Here are some verses we’re believing in.
🙌🏻 “Bless יהוה, O my being, And all that is within me, Bless His set-apart Name! Bless יהוה, O my being, And do not forget all His dealings, Who forgives all your crookednesses, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving-commitment and compassion, Who satisfies your desire with the good, Your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. יהוה is doing righteousness And right-ruling for all the oppressed. He made known His ways to Mosheh, His acts to the children of Yisra’ĕl. יהוה is compassionate and showing favour, Patient, and great in loving-commitment. He does not always strive, nor maintain it forever. He has not done to us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our crookednesses. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His loving-commitment toward those who fear Him; As far as east is from west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion for his children, So יהוה has compassion for those who fear Him. For He knows how we are made; He remembers that we are dust. A man’s days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind blows over it, and it is no more, And its place no longer remembers it. But the loving-commitment of יהוה Is from everlasting to everlasting Upon those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To those who guard His covenant, And to those who remember His orders to do them. יהוה has established His throne in the heavens, And His reign shall rule over all. Bless יהוה, you His messengers, Mighty in power, who do His Word, Listening to the voice of His Word. Bless יהוה, all you His hosts, You His servants, who do His pleasure. Bless יהוה, all His works, In all places of His rule. Bless יהוה, O my being!”
Tehillim (Psalms) 103:1-22
🙌🏻 “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
Tehillim (Psalms) 107:20
🙌🏻 “And יהושע said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for truly, I say to you, if you have belief as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move. And no matter shall be impossible for you.”
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 17:20
🙌🏻 “And looking intently יהושע said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with Elohim all is possible.””
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 19:26
🙌🏻 “Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not look around, for I am your Elohim. I shall fortify you, I shall also help you, I shall also uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.’”
Yeshayah (Isaiah) 41:10
🙌🏻 “Thus said יהוה, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power (they lie down together, they do not rise, they have been extinguished, they have been quenched like a wick): “Do not remember the former events, nor consider the events of old. “See, I am doing what is new, let it now spring forth. Do you not know it? I am even making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Yeshayah (Isaiah) 43:16-19
🙌🏻 “For in this expectation we were saved, but expectation that is seen is not expectation, for when anyone sees, does he expect it? And if we expect what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance. And in the same way the Spirit does help in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray, but the Spirit Himself pleads our case for us with groanings unutterable. And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the set-apart ones according to Elohim. And we know that all matters work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to his purpose.”
Romiyim (Romans) 8:24-28
🙌🏻 “for we walk by belief, not by sight”
Qorintiyim Bĕt (2 Corinthians) 5:7
🙌🏻 ““Blessed is the man who trusts in יהוה, and whose trust is יהוה. “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and does not see when heat comes. And his leaf shall be green, and in the year of drought he is not anxious, nor does he cease from yielding fruit.”
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 17:7-8
🙌🏻. “Heal me, O יהוה, so that I am healed. Save me, so that I am saved, for You are my praise.”
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 17:14
🙌🏻 “Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers, But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night. For he shall be as a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And whose leaf does not wither, And whatever he does prospers.”
Tehillim (Psalms) 1:1-3
🙌🏻 “And יהושע answering, said to them, “Have belief in Elohim. “For truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says, shall be done, he shall have whatever he says. “Because of this I say to you, whatever you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.”
Marqos (Mark) 11:22-24
🙌🏻 “My son, listen to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; Guard them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And healing to all their flesh.”
Mishlĕ (Proverbs) 4:20-22
🙌🏻 “And when the sun was setting, all who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him. And He laid His hands on each one of them and healed them.”
Luqas (Luke) 4:40
